Matador Full of Laborers Returning from Picnic Overturned, 35 injured

Thirty-five people on board were injured when a matador overturned near Sagoon village of Suruensar. Five children are also among the wounded. All of them had gone to Suruisar for a picnic. All are residents of Chhattisgarh, who currently live in the Ban Talab area of ​​Jammu city and work as labourers. All the injured have been admitted to GMC. At present, their condition is said to be stable.

According to the information, when these people returned after a picnic on Sunday, the bus suddenly overturned. It is being told that the driver was driving the bus at a very high speed.

Among the injured were Rajkumari (55), Ram Singh (31), Saroj Puri (26), Meethi (3), Jatinder Singh (31), Shiv Kumar (31), Vishwadev (18), Dhan Kumari (22), Ganga Sagar (31), Mr. 30), Suraj Yadav (2), Leela Ram (28), Pooja Devi (17), Narinder Kumar (21), Sita Ram (28), Uday (3), Sonai (30), Door Bai (45), Poornima Yadav (24), Sumit Kumar (21), Jawant Kumar (22), Usha Bhai (30), Kamal Prasad (35), Tesha (4), Daneshwar (30), Aarti (6), Bhim Shankar (20), Tania (1), Gaurav (20), Ram Dulani (25) and Bailey Ram (40). The injured say that the minibus driver was driving very fast.

According to the information, only 15 people can sit in the minibus, but now even less is allowed due to Corona. But the passengers in the minibus were stuffed. Thirty-five people were sitting on the bus. The most surprising thing is that this minibus from Ban Talab in Jammu reached Suruisar via National Highway for 40 km and was not stopped for checking anywhere on the way. The non-stopping of overloaded minibuses by police and traffic police on the way raises many questions.

366 terrorists eliminated in Kashmir after abrogation of Article 370: MoS Home Nityanand Rai

Union Minister for State for Home affairs Nityanand Rai on Wednesday informed Rajya Sabha that 366 terrorists were eliminated in Kashmir after the abrogation of article 370.

Rai in a written reply to Rajya Sabha on the question of Congress MP Digvijay Singh said, “366 terrorists killed, 96 Civilians also lost their life while 81 Security Forces (SFs) martyred in Kashmir after the repeal of Article 370 on 5th August 2019 till 30th November 2021.”

Rai further informed the Upper House that after the repeal of Article 370, no Kashmiri Pandit/Hindu has been displaced from the valley.
“However, recently some Kashmiri Pandit families, mostly women, and children, living in Kashmir have moved to the Jammu region. These families are of Govt. employees, many of whom, move to Jammu in winter as part of the movement of officials and the winter vacation in educational institutions,” he further added.

JMC Mayor appeals General public to come forward and take benefits of Medical camps

The Mayor of Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta has appeal to the general public, especially the women folk, to come forward and take full benefits of medical camps being organized by Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).

Interacting with the locals after inaugurated ICDS medical camp at Anaganwadi centre in Shiv Nagar area Jammu, the Mayor said that all the councillors of Jammu Municipal Corporation in collaboration with other allied department are committed to provide best possible amenities to the inhabitants irrespective of any caste, creed or religion. He said that the municipal Councillor have been carrying this campaign for the last over three years since the establishment of JMC.

Mr. Gupta said that he had talked to Commissioner JMC, who is also CEO of Jammu Smarty City Ltd., to take necessary measures under Jammu Smart City Project so that Anaganwadi centers functioning within the limits of the JMC be upgraded and modernized.

Today, especial medical checkup camp was organized at Shiv Nagar Jammu with an object to provide best possible medical facilities to the needy & downtrodden families. The Mayor was accompanied by Mr. Surinder Chowdhary Councillor of ward no. 29 and Mr. Devinder Katoch, Joint Director, ICDS, Madam Akansha Kalsotra Child Development Project Officer Jammu alongwith other field staff of the department.

 

Doctors and Para Medical staff from Health Department thoroughly conducted medical checkup and provided free medicines to the persons. Madam Kamla Gupta, Mr. Ved Sharma, Mr. Naseev Raj, Mr. Balvinder Kumar, Mr. Kushan Verma, Mr. Shamsher Singh & other prominent inhabitants of Shiv Nagar, Rajpura & its adjoining localities were also present on the occasion.

Officers of department apprised the Mayor that under “Poshan Abhiyan”, the ICDS has continuously been organizing medical camps especially for the ladies from 15 to 49 age group & their thorough medical checkup is being conducted by the team of Doctors for their Anemia deduction & free medical treatment. Necessary medicines & other allied amenities are being provided free of cost to them, they added.

In today camp, children from age group 0-6 years have also been thoroughly checked up for their height & weight deduction & free medical treatment, necessary medicines were also provided to them. Besides, on the request of the general public a special camp for preparation of Aadhar Cards of persons belonging to any age group has also been started at this site.

The Mayor also supervised a plantation drive conducted within the premises of Anaganwadi centre at Shiv Nagar where a large numbers of ornamental & seasonal saplings were planted at the vacant area in order to maintain eco friendly atmosphere in and around the locality.

With the snowfall in Kashmir, tourist places have become buzzing. Many tourists are arriving in the valleys of Gulmarg, Sonamarg and Pahalgam for fun. This has also opened the doors of employment for the local people. Let us tell you that according to the government data, 1.27 lakh tourists visited the valley in November this year. With the snowfall two days ago, the influx of tourists has increased further.

Gulmarg, a world-famous tourist destination called the valley’s crown, is covered with a white sheet of snow. Thousands of tourists are reaching here to see the beautiful plaintiffs and enjoy the snow. Locals and tourists from every corner of the country are coming and capturing the sight of nature in cameras and mobiles. Some are taking a gondola tour, some enjoy a sledge ride while some enjoy the ATV.

An official of the tourism department said that around two thousand tourists were coming to Gulmarg every day for the past few weeks, including locals and people from outside the state. But since two days this number has increased. After the snowfall, tourists have turned to Gulmarg and other tourist places. Talking about Gulmarg, this number has reached close to three thousand.

In charge of Gulmarg Gandola, Shaukat Ahmed said that the season has been going well for the last three-four months. Here, two to three thousand people are riding the gondola right now. Along with this, people are also enjoying the sledge ride. More tourists are expected in the coming days. Said that we are fully prepared, the effort is that any tourist who comes will be given better facilities as per the government’s instructions. Covid protocol is being followed.

Let us tell you that the gondola ride in Gulmarg is one of the most breathtaking to see the stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. It is the highest and longest ropeway in Asia. The gondola starts from Gulmarg and travels to the mountains at 13000 feet above sea level. Unfortunately, tourism and business have been affected due to covid in the last two years, and it is expected that now it will be compensated.
