After the Retreat Ceremony at the outer Post in Suchetgarh, the remaining work in the Bagh-e-Bhor Park has been expedited. This will help in attracting tourists. Here soon, the Light and Sound Fountain will be dedicated to the people. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will inaugurate it in the coming few days. State of the art Bagh-e-BhY Park, located near Miran Sahib, has been designed to attract tourists visiting the city of Jammu. This park, built-in 227 kanals of land, has been developed by the Horticulture Department, Jammu. It will be one of the big parks in the Jammu division.
Five crores 11 lakh rupees have been spent in preparing this park. Sound and laser fountain show will be the centre of attraction in this park. On Sunday, its successful trial was conducted in the presence of Jammu Divisional Commissioner Dr Raghav Langar. There will be roses in the garden. There will be a place for the children to play. Apart from this, many types of flowers will be smelling in the park. This park will also be expanded in the coming days. In the second phase, the park will be developed on 300 Kanal land adjoining it. The Divisional Commissioner directed the Director of Horticulture Department Jitendra Singh and his team to complete the other works pending in the park at the earliest.
He said that the Raj Bhavan is monitoring all these works. These should be completed on time. The colour of flowers will fascinate the tourists. This park is spread over 200 kanals of land on the outskirts of Bhor Camp village, about three kilometres from the Jammu airport. Its trails run through the entire park. Therefore, one can enjoy the lush green environment by taking a walk in the park. There are regular trees here, while ornamental trees have also been planted.
The colour of flowers in the initial part of the park will also fascinate you. Swings have been installed in the park for children. Work is underway to create a green lawn in one part of the park. The lake created in the park will also attract people towards it. Sandeep Singh, a local area resident, says that Bagh-e-Bhor will be one of the best parks in Jammu. Work is underway to complete its construction soon.
Govt to make Online Grievance Redressal accessible to all: Dr Jitendra
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh informed the Lok Sabha today that the government has initiated the process to make Online Grievance Redressal accessible to all and for this purpose, Common Service Center (CSC) has been engaged to make CPGRAMS more inclusive and accessible to all including the differently-abled citizens.
Pertinent to mention that CPGRAMS (Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System) is an online platform available to the citizens 24×7 to lodge their grievances to the public authorities on any subject related to service delivery.
In reply to a question, the Minister stated that the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) is a continuously evolving platform which strives to add new features as per latest available technology to make it more efficient and user-friendly for all.
Dr Jitendra Singh informed that a total of 1, 28, 74,337 grievances have been filed under CPGRAMS platforms in last 10 years of which 1, 19, 90,434 have been disposed of. Similarly, a total of 67677 appeals were filed in CPGRAMS since the introduction of the appeal facility in CPGRAMS in January 2021.
The Minister informed that CPGRAMS has been integrated with several other Grievance portals. PMO PG portal, President Secretariat PG portal, Cabinet Secretariat PG portal and Grievance portals of Department of Pension and pensioners Welfare, Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises and Securities and Exchange Board of India are integrated with CPGRAMS at the backend.
CPGRAMS has also linked through the web API with Grievance Portals of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and the States of Assam, Bihar, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
In reply to another question, Dr Jitendra Singh, who is also Incharge India Meteorological Department (IMD), stated that India Meteorological Department (IMD) is continuously working on improving operational forecasting models for various weather and climate extreme events to help farmers and others.
The Minister informed the House that the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) had launched an ambitious and well-resourced research programme on mission mode, called the Monsoon Mission. The first phase of the mission was implemented during 2012-2017 and the second phase (2017-22) is underway.
Dr Jitendra Singh further stated that India has augmented its capability of High-Performance Computing (HPC) system, which is close to 10 petaflops capacity now and it is the backbone of the monsoon research and operational services in the country. He said, India has the fourth best computing facilities in the world for weather and climate services and the Monsoon Mission has helped in the significant improvement of monsoon forecasts in all time scales, right from short-range to seasonal.
The Minister informed that India is now proud of having one of the best prediction system for generating real time forecasts and warnings in all spatial scales from a location to Block, district, meteorological subdivisions and homogeneous regions and temporal scales of a few hours (nowcast), 3 days (short range forecast), 4-7 days ((short range forecast), 4-7 days (medium range forecast) 1-4 weeks (extended range forecast) and one month to a season (long range forecast).
The reply by Dr Jitendra Singh also gave detail that IMD is issuing Impact Based Forecast (IBF) which gives details of what the weather will do rather than what the weather will be. It contains the details of impacts expected from the severe weather elements and guidelines to the general public about do’s and don’ts while getting exposed to severe weather conditions like cyclone, heat wave, thunderstorm and heavy rainfall. IMD also runs an operational Agrometeorological Advisory Services (AAS) viz Gramin Krishi Mausam Sewa (GKMS) scheme for the benefit of farming communities in the country.
366 terrorists eliminated in Kashmir after abrogation of Article 370: MoS Home Nityanand Rai
Union Minister for State for Home affairs Nityanand Rai on Wednesday informed Rajya Sabha that 366 terrorists were eliminated in Kashmir after the abrogation of article 370.
Rai in a written reply to Rajya Sabha on the question of Congress MP Digvijay Singh said, “366 terrorists killed, 96 Civilians also lost their life while 81 Security Forces (SFs) martyred in Kashmir after the repeal of Article 370 on 5th August 2019 till 30th November 2021.”
Rai further informed the Upper House that after the repeal of Article 370, no Kashmiri Pandit/Hindu has been displaced from the valley.
“However, recently some Kashmiri Pandit families, mostly women, and children, living in Kashmir have moved to the Jammu region. These families are of Govt. employees, many of whom, move to Jammu in winter as part of the movement of officials and the winter vacation in educational institutions,” he further added.
JMC Mayor appeals General public to come forward and take benefits of Medical camps
The Mayor of Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta has appeal to the general public, especially the women folk, to come forward and take full benefits of medical camps being organized by Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).
Interacting with the locals after inaugurated ICDS medical camp at Anaganwadi centre in Shiv Nagar area Jammu, the Mayor said that all the councillors of Jammu Municipal Corporation in collaboration with other allied department are committed to provide best possible amenities to the inhabitants irrespective of any caste, creed or religion. He said that the municipal Councillor have been carrying this campaign for the last over three years since the establishment of JMC.
Mr. Gupta said that he had talked to Commissioner JMC, who is also CEO of Jammu Smarty City Ltd., to take necessary measures under Jammu Smart City Project so that Anaganwadi centers functioning within the limits of the JMC be upgraded and modernized.
Today, especial medical checkup camp was organized at Shiv Nagar Jammu with an object to provide best possible medical facilities to the needy & downtrodden families. The Mayor was accompanied by Mr. Surinder Chowdhary Councillor of ward no. 29 and Mr. Devinder Katoch, Joint Director, ICDS, Madam Akansha Kalsotra Child Development Project Officer Jammu alongwith other field staff of the department.
Doctors and Para Medical staff from Health Department thoroughly conducted medical checkup and provided free medicines to the persons. Madam Kamla Gupta, Mr. Ved Sharma, Mr. Naseev Raj, Mr. Balvinder Kumar, Mr. Kushan Verma, Mr. Shamsher Singh & other prominent inhabitants of Shiv Nagar, Rajpura & its adjoining localities were also present on the occasion.
Officers of department apprised the Mayor that under “Poshan Abhiyan”, the ICDS has continuously been organizing medical camps especially for the ladies from 15 to 49 age group & their thorough medical checkup is being conducted by the team of Doctors for their Anemia deduction & free medical treatment. Necessary medicines & other allied amenities are being provided free of cost to them, they added.
In today camp, children from age group 0-6 years have also been thoroughly checked up for their height & weight deduction & free medical treatment, necessary medicines were also provided to them. Besides, on the request of the general public a special camp for preparation of Aadhar Cards of persons belonging to any age group has also been started at this site.
The Mayor also supervised a plantation drive conducted within the premises of Anaganwadi centre at Shiv Nagar where a large numbers of ornamental & seasonal saplings were planted at the vacant area in order to maintain eco friendly atmosphere in and around the locality.
