JAMMU NOV 20 Youth President- Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) Aditya Gupta paid a heartfelt tribute to the legacy of Kashmir Times and its founders, calling it one of the boldest voices ever to emerge from Jammu & Kashmir.

He recalled that Shri Ved Bhasin, the founder of Kashmir Times, built a newspaper that became synonymous with fearless, uncompromising journalism — a platform that spoke truth to power even in the most difficult times. According to Gupta, Ved Bhasin’s voice was “impossible to silence,” and his commitment to justice and free expression inspired generations.

Gupta added that this legacy was carried forward with equal courage by his daughter, Anuradha Bhasin, who upheld the same values despite persistent pressures and challenges.

For decades, Kashmir Times reported some of the region’s most significant stories — from human rights violations, enforced disappearances, and governance failures to major political developments. Through threats, intimidation, and attempts to suppress its work, the newspaper, Gupta emphasized, “remained unshaken, never bowing before the state and always standing by the truth.”

He said this steadfast dedication to honest journalism makes Kashmir Times not just a newspaper, but a symbol of resilience, integrity, and the enduring power of truth in Jammu & Kashmir.
