Aggrieved KAS aspirants here today organized a protest rally from Jammu University to Vikram Chwok against the recent declaration of KAS Mains-2016 result by J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC).
The protesters said that many candidates who despite performing well in all the Optional and General Studies paper have not been shortlisted for personal interviews by JKPSC.
“Either it is a mass error or a mass scam,” the protestors said adding that they apprehend that JKPSC has adopted irrational and arbitrary methodology of scaling whereby many meritorious candidates who despite performing well in their exams were rejected.
The aggrieved aspirants have also alleged that JKPSC had hired a PR team to normalise the result at the last moment and the PR team adopted irrational way of scaling.
The aspirants also met Governor and requested him to intervene in the matter.
They claimed that the Governor has appointed a Committee under his Advisor K.K Sharma to look into the matter.
The protesters demanded an independent judicial enquiry and have requested the Governor to stall the interview process till the matter is resolved.
The interviews are scheduled for Dec 20.
