Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner Avny Lavasa and Municipal Corporator Amit Gupta on Tuesday inaugurated toilet-cum-bathroom complex near Canal Head falling in Ward-19 which was constructed at an estimate cost of Rs 17 lakh.

Prominent citizens and local peoples were also present in the inauguration ceremony who showed that they will try their best to make this area neat and clean in future so that the Prime Ministers dream for making “Swacch Bharat” is fulfilled.

Councillor Amit Gupta while speaking on the occasion expressed his gratitude to Commissioner JMC for timely completion of the Washroom units which is likely to provide benefit, service to the people including visitors of the ward. This initiative of the Councillor of Ward-19 was appreciated by local residents and prominent citizens of the area .

The Commissioner JMC stressed upon the people to wear masks and maintain social distancing to combat coronavirus pendamic.

She further requested the people to help JMC to put an end to the practice of open defecation and maintain hygiene and assured the residents / institutions functioning in Ward -19 for the best possible services by JMC.

The concerned Officers of Engineering Wing of JMC were also present on the occasion. Social Distance as well as other Guidelines / SOP of COVID–19 Pandemic was maintained.

JMC Xen Ashwani Gupta, CTO Harvinder Singh, including Vinod Gupta, Madan Lal, Vishal Malhotra, Maan Devi, Sunil Gupta, Rinku Nitin Sharma, Ajay Gupta and others were also present on the occasion.
