J&K Medical Employees Federation(JKMEF) today lend their support to the Female Multipurpose Health Workerswho are protesting for 47 days in support of demands of fulfillment of their long pending wages and other such demands.
Addressing the press conference, President of Employees Federation, Sushil Sudan said that in solidarity with the female employees, the Federation will dispatch postal cards to J&K Governor SP Malik and Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, urging them to redress the demands of the female multipurpose health workers who are on strike for last 45 days demanding release of their pending wages
He said that they will hold a half day strike in first half of the day from Jammu to Poonch on 17 October, if their demands are not fulfilled.
The JKMEF president said if the Government still does not wake up from the slumber and redress the demands of the female multipurpose health workers, all leaders of association and employee affiliated with JKMEF will proceed towards Kashmir for Secretariat gherao on October 24.
He reiterated that it will be complete responsibility of the Government if anything happens to the employees during the protest.
