Jammu, Dec 18: A high-level security review meeting, the “DG Conference,” is being held today in Jammu with all senior Jammu and Kashmir Police officers in attendance. The meeting is chaired by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and is expected to last around nine hours.
Sources said the discussions will focus on reviewing current security challenges and finalizing strategies with a view toward 2026.
A major highlight of the meeting is a planned collaboration with IIT Jammu, through which the police will be equipped with modern technology and AI-based tools. Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen anti-terror operations, enhance intelligence capabilities, and improve crime control, providing a significant boost to the security infrastructure of Jammu and Kashmir.
