Seeking people’s cooperation to bring back the misguided youth who had gone astray after being lured by Pakistani agents, Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir Dilbagh Singh lauded the security forces for working professionally to eliminate threat to peace from terrorist outfits.
However, he stressed upon all officers and officials of police force to gain public confidence, goodwill and be always compassionate and helpful to the needy people. He advised them to attend to genuine grievances of the people to win their confidence and further strengthen police-people relations.
The DGP said the people’s cooperation in bringing back the misguided local youth who were lured by the Pakistani agents is vital. The children of Jammu and Kashmir should hold books and pen in their hands for their better future instead of going astray, he said.
He interacted with the officers and officials of the Badgam district in central Kashmir and enquired about the various office works. While interacting with the grievance cell of the district, the DGP advised the officials that priority should be given to redress the grievances of the general people.
He said good Police-Public relation is the foundation for the peaceful environment and added that local Police is the first respondent to any plea of general people as Police is on the ground 24X7 to protect them and safeguard their rights.
Mr Singh also addressed officers and officials in a darbar after visiting Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police in the central Kashmir district of Badgam today.
DGP appreciated the role of Budgam Police for maintaining pressure on the elements inimical to peace . He said with the coordinated efforts of different security agencies the militant activities have been restricted and action against them has been intensified.
He lauded the role of Jammu Kashmir Police officers and jawans for tackling the ground situation effectively even in the face of a big challenge of coronavirus. He said despite many challenges, personnel of police and other security forces are working professionally to eliminate threats to peace from various Pakistan sponsored militant outfits and subversive agencies.
He exhorted upon officers and jawans to keep doing good work with sincere efforts and be conscious while performing their duties to thwart any evil designs of the anti-national forces.
The DGP was accompanied by Inspector General of Police ( IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar.
He appreciated the officials for their commitment despite the health risk posed by the COVID-19. He advised them to follow the necessary guidelines issued by the Government from time to time at work place and also at home to break the chain of spreading CoronaVirus.
He exhorted upon officers and jawans to keep doing good work with sincere efforts and be conscious while performing duties to thwart any evil designs of the anti-national forces.
