Srinagar, Feb 6: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today announced that six free LPG gas cylinders will be provided to families under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY). The announcement was made during the presentation of the 2026-27 Union Territory Budget in the Assembly.
Addressing the House, the CM described this measure as part of the government’s commitment to support the most vulnerable sections of society, ensuring they benefit directly from welfare schemes.
“This is a step towards easing household expenses for AAY families and improving their quality of life,” Mr. Abdullah said.
