Jammu Highway on high alert
After the drone incident in Kalachak area of Jammu and Kashmir where 5 kg ID was caught by the Armed Forces, the J&K Administration has put the Highway on high alert.
To keep the environment safe, Jammu and Kashmir Police is checking the vehicles on a naka at Tapial area of Samba which is an entry point of the UT.
Pakistan, for terror attacks has currently started using drones to keep a check at the borders and according to reports, it has started sending weapons and other drug materials through tunnels.
The hostility between the two countries has been since years and rather than creating a peaceful atmosphere, Pakistan keeps changing strategies to create warring situations.
An Appeal to Manoj Sinha: Kindly Regularize PDD Daily Wagers
Over time JK Media has raised its voice for PDD/PHE daily wagers, Homeguards, Asha workers, JK Police SPOs to regularize them and continue raising them until all these employees don’t get regularized. Today JK Media Executive Aashish Kholi met a PDD Daily Wager, President Akhil Sharma, and talked about the 11,000 daily wagers, which are yet to be regularized.
While speaking, Akhil said, “I’m thankful that JK Media is raising our demands. My appeal to JK LG Manoj Sinha is that employees were being regularized till 2010 in Kashmir and Doda, while in Poonch till 2005, the employees were regularized. But in Jammu and Kathua, only employees were regularized till 1997, and further, no DPC took place. During the NC regime, an order was passed that all employees till 2010 should be standardized, but the order didn’t get implemented until today. A corporation has been formed, and soon the department will be privatized, so I want the employees who have given 20 years of their profession to the department regularly”.
“We are getting 6750 rupees as our monthly pay. With such a minimal amount, how can we look after our families? If we send our children to some good school, then all our income will only be spent on the school fee. Many of our co-workers have lost their lives or arms and legs, but no senior official has ever enquired about them and their policies. Recently Manoj Sinha announced 10 lakh rupees insurance for the daily wagers, according to which if any daily wager dies on-duty, then their family will get 10 lakh rupees compensation, but the order hasn’t been implemented yet”, he added.
We aren’t terrorists’: 10th class students demand mass promotion
JK Board 10th class students once again staged a protest against JKBOSE outside Director of School Education’s office in Jammu today. After meeting him, they showed a disapproval and demanded mass promotion.
“Director Sir told us to give our exams and wait for results. We are against it! We either demand online exams or mass promotion. When Kashmir students can get promoted without exams, why not us?” said a student
“I’m here to support these students. Their demand is genuine. They had online classes. Third wave is on it’s way and we can’t risk students’ lives. JK Board Authorities must listen to their appeal.” added their supporter
The students claimed the J&K Police to have abused and physically attacked them. They disagreed with the behaviour and said it was against the law and order.
“It’s J&K Police not the goons that attacked us today. I’m still 16 and it’s against the law to hit me. We aren’t terrorists, just small kids demanding something for ourselves. At least don’t hit us.” they said
