Jammu: Theft in house cash, jewellery stolen

A major theft happened in Bakshi Nagar where cash and jewellery worth lakhs were stolen. The owners of the house are residing in a foreign country and were made aware of the mishap on video conferencing.

The tenants of the house had gone to Udhampur for some work. The gardener who visited the house in everyone’s absence noticed opened doors and cupboards and things scattered on the floor. He called the tenants immediately.

Police has taken over the case. Forensic department officials visited the house to take the fingerprints. The investigation is under process.

With increasing robberies in Jammu, people are advised to keep cash and jewellery in Bank lockers.
