“Despite the surge in the positive cases, the number of active cases has come down,” officials said.
“Improvement in recovery rate is an encouraging sign, but the number of deaths due to this virus should also come down. People have to be cooperative and follow the guidelines of wearing masks, maintaining personal hygiene and practicing social distancing,” said critical care expert, Dr. Showkat Shah.
He appealed to the people to not hide their symptoms. “Don’t make the COVID a stigma disease. People who report lately are mostly diagnosed with severe pneumonia on CT scan. Therefore people must not hide their symptoms and consult healthcare workers for treatment if they find they are having symptoms of COVID.”
