Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray J&K unit expressed concern over the increasing cases of Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir amid extending the scope of rapid testing. Party leaders and activists staged a silent protest demanding the thorough review of the health sector.
Dozens of Shiv Sainiks under the chairmanship of Party UT President, Manish Sahni demanded Honorable Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of J&K to take care of patients and visit hospitals and make the availability of beds in government and converted private hospitals for Covid cares.
Sahni said that without correcting the system, rapid testing is being carried out, due to which there is a huge increase in the number of Coronavirus patients and a situation of fear has rose among the public. Raising questions about home isolation, Sahni said that, they are left on the mercy of God.
“For this, a team of doctors should be formed and treatment should be made possible on the ground when needed,” Saini said and added, “There is a dire need to improve facilities in the quarantine centers and hospitals.”
Sahni said that there is a situation of fear among people due to lack of facilities for the patients. Due to all this mess, preparations are being made to open schools, the education department has given instructions to hold Mohalla classes hence risking the lives of children.
Sahni appealed to the Honorable Lieutenant Governor and his administration to pay special attention to this and said that Shiv Sainiks should not be forced to take to the streets on the same again.
