J-K: 3 year old found dead in a water dam in Parimpore

Cadaver of a 3 year old, Saleem who was missing from Shalteng in the outskirts of Srinagar was found in a water dam in Parimpore on Friday evening. The boy went missing at 3 in the afternoon and was found around 10:30 at night.

According to reports, Saleem went to market and returned home at 3. His family members didn’t pay attention as the little one went out to play alone. He ran towards the frozen water near the dam beside their house. Unknown, fell in to the damn and succumbed to death.

In search of the boy, the Police team reached the spot at 10 and called the Fire and emergency services to rescue the boy. However, it was too late to get him back.

It is often advised by the Administration to avoid walking on the frozen water bodies especially for the children.
