New Delhi, Dec 15: IndiGo Airlines on Monday issued a travel advisory, warning passengers of possible flight cancellations due to dense fog in Delhi, which has drastically reduced visibility in and around the capital.

The airline said some flights may be proactively cancelled to ensure passenger safety and minimize extended waiting times at airports. In a post on X, IndiGo advised passengers, “Due to dense fog in Delhi this morning, visibility has reduced drastically, impacting flight operations. As a precaution, some flights may be proactively cancelled throughout the day to prioritize safety and help minimise extended waiting at the airport.”

IndiGo staff are working at airports to assist passengers and manage operations. The airline urged travellers to allow extra travel time due to slower road traffic and check flight status online. Passengers whose flights are cancelled can rebook or request a refund via the airline’s official website.

Earlier, the airline had highlighted the impact of low visibility on flight schedules, stating, “Low visibility and fog over Delhi will impact flight schedules. We’re keeping a close watch on the weather and doing our best to get you where you need to be, safely and smoothly.”

IndiGo, which recently faced operational disruptions, is gradually stabilising and is operating over 2,050 flights today with minimal cancellations, maintaining connectivity across its network.
