Jammu , Jan 12 : The Indian Army fired warning shots after detecting suspicious drone activity originating from Pakistan in the Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said the drones were spotted near the villages of Gania and Kaldian late last night. Troops responded with Medium Machine Guns (MMG) and Light Machine Guns (LMG) to counter the potential threat.

Security forces in the area remain on high alert, carrying out thorough searches to ensure there are no arms or narcotics drops. The incident follows a drone drop in Samba district the previous day, highlighting repeated attempts to breach the Line of Control using unmanned aerial vehicles. Further investigation and monitoring are ongoing.
