Prayagraj, Jan 21: An Indian Air Force training aircraft crashed into a pond near the KP College ground in the George Town area of Prayagraj on Wednesday, officials said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (City) Manish Shandilya told PTI that the pilot ejected safely and no casualties or damage to civilian property were reported. According to officials, the aircraft went down after developing a sudden technical snag in its engine.
The area was immediately cordoned off by authorities, and an investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact cause of the crash.
