House in Muthi about to collapse, family seeks help

A house in ward no. 67 of Muthi, Jammu has weakened walls and is about to collapse. The family lives in a nearby shop and seeks help from others.

According to them, despite several requests no local politician came forward with helping hands.

The lady owner said “Our house is about to collapse and almost broken. The condition is worse than one can imagine. We live in a nearby shop because it’s risky to live here. My husband went to many local leaders but no one helped. They all refused. No one listens to a poor person. Life has become difficult. How much will I work in people’s house? It’s even tough to handles expenses for my child’s education.”

However, a localite Mr. Rinku along with Mr. Balvir Singh has ensured a re-construction of the broken building.

He said “Few days back, Tarsem Lal (the owner) came to me and cried. I felt pity and decided to help. I and Mr. Balvir Singh have decided to re-construct a room and kitchen for them. I don’t think any Government authority with take action so we have to do it all alone and start from somewhere.”

“When we see such people, it always feels good to help them. Even a small contribution can make difference. It’s all Rinku ji who’s doing great work and I’m just supporting him” added Mr. Balvir Singh.

The family has requested the Corporator of ward no. 67 of Muthi region to atleast have a look at the house and help them.
