Apni Party organized a joining programme at Gandhi Nagar office.

The function was attended by General Secretary Apni Party Vijay Bakaya and Provincial President Jammu Manjit Singh and other leaders of the Party. On this occasion, many youth joined the Apni Party in the presence of senior party leaders.

Riyaz Ahmed, Bupinder Singh, Surjeet Bali, Arvind Debvashish, Ravi Kumar, Nawaz Ahmed, Sushil Kalsi, Sunil Dutt, Naveen Kumar, Anil Kumar, Vipan Bhagat, Rohit Sharma, and RJ Sharma were prominent among those who joined Apni Party.

Welcoming them into the party fold, Vijay Bakaya said that the elected Govt is able to directly contact the people in each corner of J&K.

“The elected representatives have responsibility and they are answerable to the people,” said Bakaya. He said that the elections should be conducted as early as possible.

Bakaya said that “It is imperative for the Govt that they should not delay holding of elections in J&K.”

Speaking on the occasion, the Former Minister Manjit Singh said that the Statehood of J&K should be restored without further delay.

“The Prime Minister Narindra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had committed to the people of J&K that they will restore statehood. The unnecessary delay has alienated the people from the Govt,” Singh said.

He said that militancy in Jammu division has been eradicated and the situation is inking towards normalcy even in Kashmir and it is an appropriate time for the Govt to restore statehood which was promised by the Govt.

“On many fronts, people feel deprived and alienated due to the bureaucratic attitude of the officials even at block level. The people should be given relief and elections for assembly should be held,” he added.

Ex-MLA Faqir Nath also highlighted the underdevelopment in Udhampur District.

“The developmental activities are going on at a snail pace and there is hardly any accountability on the officials to complete the long pending projects in a time bound manner,” he added.
