Delhi Government today reopened all the government and private schools for classes 10th and 12th. Schools have made all preparations and all the students will be provided with masks, sanitizers and will ensure proper social distancing. No student will be allowed to enter the school without the parent’s consent. The schools were closed for the past 10th months due to the corona pandemic.
In the morning students were seen reaching schools. While talking to students, a few students said “we are happy as the schools have reopened. At home, we were unable to study for board exams but in schools, we can easily study. Our parents have allowed us to attend school. We are also very happy to meet our friends after a long time. The school administration has directed us to follow all Covid-19 protocols”.
Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said “we are delighted to see students back in schools. Students are also happy as their lives are getting back on track. We have reopened the schools in a very restricted manner and hope that everything will be fine and all our students who will appear for board exams will not face any problem during exams and practical”.
A few teachers said ” if we expect a good result from students then reopening of schools is a must. Delhi government has done well by reopening the schools for the 10th and 12th class students. Though the government has reduced the syllabus but still what students can learn in schools, at home they can’t. Now we will see how many parents allow their children to attend the schools”.
A few parents said, “in online classes, our children were unable to understand the concepts properly because of many reasons but now our children can learn better in practical classes”.
All the schools are taking proper covid-19 precautions. All the students before entering the schools have to undergo thermal scanning and have to sanitize their hands. The students can attend the school voluntarily and a record will be kept by the schools but not for attendance purposes.
Along with Delhi, Rajasthan also today re-opened the schools for 10th and 12th class students.
