Srinagar, Jan 6: Authorities on Tuesday advised air passengers to book flights scheduled after 10 AM to avoid cancellations and delays caused by dense fog affecting several northern Indian airports.
Persistent fog in Delhi, Jammu, and Srinagar has disrupted early morning flight operations during the winter season, leading to delays, diversions, and cancellations. Visibility generally improves by late morning, allowing smoother operations, officials said.
Passengers have been urged to check flight status with airlines and coordinate with airport authorities for real-time updates. Airlines are making operational adjustments, but fog remains a key challenge during peak winter months. The advisory aims to reduce passenger inconvenience amid ongoing winter conditions.
