Two residential houses were damaged in separate fire incidents in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, police said today.
An official said a house was gutted in fire on Friday morning in Hajin locality of the district.
He said the residential house, belonging to Ghulam Mohammad Dar, was gutted in fire last night in Malikpora locality of Hajin.
He said the fire was put off after fire tenders and police rushed to the spot. “District administration has provided an immediate assistance of Rs. 1 lakh through tehsildar Hajin,” said the official.
In a separate incident, a residential house was partially damaged in Muslim Abad locality of Bandipora town.
“The fire was caused due to a short circuit in the house of Mumtaza Begum. She will be provided assistance by district administration through tehsildar Bandipora,” said the official.
