Extreme low temperature in J&K. Srinagar records -3 degree Celsius while Gulmarg freezes at -7.4 degree Celsius

As every year, this year too Kashmir valley has experienced extremely low temperatures. Srinagar has recorded -3 degree Celsius, Pahalgam has recorded -5 degree Celsius where as Gulmarg has recorded an extremely low temperature of -7.4 degree Celsius. The weather Department has warned about heavy rain and snowfall in Kashmir till 25th November.
According to reports, Tangmarg has experienced snowfall till 2 inches. Jammu-Kashmir National Highway is experiencing light rainfall. No serious conditions of landslides have been noticed in the Ramban-Banihal area. As per SSP NH, vehicles will be stopped if such conditions are observed.
The weather in Leh is harsh with extremely low temperatures and continuous snowfall. Since 2 days the weather has abruptly changed and snowfall can be experienced in lower regions too. 2 inches snowfall in Dras has been recorded while 4-5 inches snowfall in Zojila Pass where traffic has been stopped. The administration has assured to take care about the essential commodities in Leh and Ladakh.
