SRINAGAR OCTOBER 16: The Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today held its historic convention at Municipal Park, Residency Road, Srinagar, under the theme “United for Employees’ Rights.”
The event witnessed a massive turnout of government employees, trade union leaders, and workers from various departments across Kashmir, marking a powerful display of unity and solidarity.
Speakers at the convention highlighted the long-pending issues faced by daily wagers, casual labourers, and temporary workers, stressing the urgent need for regularization, fair wages, and social security measures.
EJAC leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continue the struggle for employees’ dignity, justice, and welfare, urging the government to address their legitimate demands without further delay.
The convention concluded with a call for collective action and dialogue to ensure lasting solutions to the challenges confronting government employees in Jammu and Kashmir.
