Batote, Oct 3: A dumper bearing registration number JK14K-9033, loaded with bricks, overturned at Amar Chashma on Friday while traveling from Patnitop towards Batote. The mishap occurred due to the rash and negligent driving of the yet-to-be-identified driver, who fled from the spot soon after the accident.
In the incident, the dumper’s helper, identified as Mohd. Nawaz (aged about 18–19 years), sustained injuries. He was immediately shifted to CHC Batote for treatment and later referred to GMC Jammu for advanced medical care.
The dumper remains at the accident site, and police have taken cognizance of the matter.
