Surankote, Sept 25 : A special distribution camp for Children With Special Needs (CWSNs) was organized at Boys Middle School, Samote, under the initiative of the Education Department. The camp saw active participation from 62 CWSN students along with their parents.
The event was graced by Tehsildar Surankote, Mr. Akbar Hussain, who distributed aids and appliances among the students to support their learning and day-to-day activities. The initiative is aimed at empowering these children by equipping them with essential resources that will help them overcome challenges and participate more effectively in the education system.
Logistical arrangements for the programme were efficiently managed by the Education Department under the overall supervision of ZEO Surankote, Mr. Barkat Hussain, and CEO Poonch, Mr. Mukhtar Ahmed Manhas. Their guidance and efforts ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of mainstreaming CWSN students into the general education system. They said that mainstreaming not only bridges the learning gap but also fosters inclusivity, equality, and social acceptance. It enables children with special needs to interact, learn, and grow alongside their peers, preparing them for a more independent and dignified future.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all the participants, parents, and officials whose cooperation and support made the initiative both meaningful and impactful.
