Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today convened a meeting with officers of concerned Departments to review progress of digitization of land records in the district that is being carried out under Digital India Land Records Modernization programme (DLRMP).
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and Handwara , Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Tehsildars and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion with regard to the programme was held wherein, it was informed that government has hired the services of private firm RAM TECH Software India and assigned the job of scanning, computerization of various existing revenue records besides settlement operations to the Agency.
DC called upon the officers to accelerate the pace of digitization towards realizing the objectives of modernising the management of land records. He said that the government has set June 2019 as deadline for the completion of the process. He impressing upon the concerned authorities to mobilise all efforts in this direction
. Moreover, he directed for prioritizing the work of Jamabandi strictly in conformity with the Standing instructions and said that updated Jamabandis are the pre-requisite for the implementation of the project.
Meanwhile, the DC directed revenue officials to work with close coordination and mantain regular dairy of their activities besides conducting regular field visits.
