Srinagar, Dec 15: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today felicitated beneficiaries of Mission YUVA, HADP and JKCIP at a special function held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth empowerment, livelihood generation and inclusive growth across Jammu and Kashmir. He said initiatives like Mission YUVA are aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship and self-reliance among young people by providing financial support, training and handholding.
Omar Abdullah also highlighted the role of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Jammu and Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement Project (JKCIP) in strengthening the rural economy, improving farm productivity and creating sustainable income opportunities.
The Chief Minister interacted with beneficiaries and appreciated their efforts in building successful ventures. He said empowering youth and farmers remains central to the government’s development agenda and assured continued support to expand employment opportunities across the Union Territory.
Officials, stakeholders and beneficiaries from various districts were present at the event.
