Voting On 11th November, Counting on 14th November
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced by-elections for the Budgam and Nagrota Assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the notification, voting will take place on November 11, while the counting of votes is scheduled for November 14.
The ECI has directed the concerned district administrations to ensure all necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the elections. The Model Code of Conduct comes into effect immediately in both constituencies.
Political parties have begun preparations to field their candidates, with the by-elections expected to be a key test of public sentiment ahead of the next Assembly polls in the Union Territory.
Security agencies have also been put on alert to ensure a peaceful and fair election process across both regions.
