Bovine smuggling attempt foiled by Samba Police

Another bovine smuggling attempt gets foiled by Samba Police today in Mansar. A truck with 12 trapped bovines was stopped by the Samba District Police at a check post in Mansar.

According to reports, the Mansar Police had got information about the smugglers through their reliable sources and put Nakas at Mansar. They got hold of the truck with vehicle number JK02BH0467 coming from Kathua and moving towards Kashmir. However, the driver ran away.

The bovines have been rescued and taken to a safe place. A case has been filed under IPC 188 and the investigation is under process.

With the increasing bovine smuggling cases in Jammu, Village Defence Committee (VDC) has joined hands with the Police forces. They are putting efforts in stopping smuggling in the future.
