Blood Moon, Total Lunar Eclipse on THIS date

Published

on

Astronomy enthusiasts will witness the first total lunar eclipse of 2021 on May 26. Total lunar eclipses are also known as Blood Moon since the moon appears slightly reddish-orange. The Blood Moon on May 26 will last for 14 minutes and 30 seconds. The colour of the moon on this day depends on dust particles and different wavelengths of colours reaching the surface of the moon.

What is a total lunar eclipse?

Total lunar eclipses take place when the Sun, the Moon and the Earth are aligned in a straight line. The Earth comes in between the Sun and the Moon and in turn, blocks the sun rays from reaching the moon in case of a total lunar eclipse.

This eclipse occurs only on the Full Moon. You can, however, look at a lunar eclipse with a naked eye, unlike the solar eclipse.

What is Blood Moon?

As per NASA, the blood moon takes place in case of a lunar eclipse when the Earth comes in between the sun and the Moon to block the rays of the sun from reaching the moon.

“When this happens, the only light that reaches the Moon’s surface is from the edges of the Earth’s atmosphere. The air molecules from Earth’s atmosphere scatter out most of the blue light. The remaining light reflects onto the Moon’s surface with a red glow, making the Moon appear red in the night sky,” NASA said on its website.

Where can you see the Blood Moon on May 26?

Skywatchers in parts of Australia, New Zealand, western United States, South America, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and parts of South-East Asia can view this celestial event.

If you are an astronomy enthusiast who does not live in these areas and wants to watch this event, you can visit the timeanddate YouTube channel in order to view the live feed of the lunar eclipse.

This time we will take Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) back, Ravinder Raina

Published

By

BJP State President Ravinder Raina had an exclusive interview with JK Channel executive Mohinderjeet Singh. Raina spoke about the party on 24th June going to be attended by Mehbooba Mufti. He also slammed Pakistan and held it responsible for the dead Indians.

Q. Sir what would you say about Pakistan?

Pakistan is the reason for bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir over the last 40 years. It has always wanted J&K to be a graveyard. I wonder why some Leaders mourn over terrorists’ deaths rather than raising voices for our innocent people. Terrorism has killed so many people of J&K and other parts of India.

Those leaders who support Pakistan in such things are the enemies of J&K’s public.

Q. This time will article 370 be back or POK will be back?

Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) will be back. We will take it back. Pakistan has illegally occupied some parts if Kashmir be it Muzaffarabad, Neelam valley or the rest of the places, we are going to get them back in India.

Talking about article 370, it has become history now. People dreaming of getting it back should take rest. These are dreams that will never get fulfilled.

Q. Many leaders who often speak in favour of Pakistan have been invited to the Party while other leaders haven’t been. Your take?

Registered Political parties have been invited to the party. I’m invited, Professor Bheem Singh and some Former Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP and Congress too. BJP will be the voice of Dogras, the Hindus on that day. BJP has always stood for its public and will continue doing so.

Q. Can Jammu people expect Ravinder Raina’s reply to Mehbooba Mufti in the coming event?

I think almost everyone living in Jammu knows me now. I’m the same person who gave back answers to the leaders supporting Pakistan in assembly meetings held before.
