J&K Government has issued a new update for the sale. and purchase of land in the UT. According to the update, a new online portal has been launched where people can now buy and sell the lands. To know more about the update our executive talked with an official Sunny Dubey.
While talking Sunny said “earlier before the purchase of land apart from fees people have to have stamp duty to the government but with the launch of this portal no more stamp duty have to be paid and people can register their documents on the portal by paying the government fees. The government used to spend crores on the production of stamp papers but now all that money will be saved. Also according to the reports, the government has saved 100 crore rupees with the launch of this portal. Earlier there was no transparency in the sale and purchase of lands but after the Roshni land scam, the government of J&K is opting for online procedures so that the whole process of sale and purchase remains transparent. The people of J&K must know about the sale and purchase of land in their UT”.
Article 370 has been abolished from J&K but still, the sale and purchase of land in J&K are done according to the old procedure. This portal can be a step towards the modification of the procedure.
