Srinagar, Dec 16: An Army soldier died on Monday after being injured in a landmine blast in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
Havildar Zubair Ahmad, serving with the 13 Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry, was injured in the explosion at Putaha Khan Gali in the Trehgam area, a border region of the district.
The injured soldier was immediately rushed to a military hospital at Drugmulla, where he was declared dead on arrival. Authorities have initiated further investigation into the incident.
