A slipper seller whose work is his priority

JK Media executive today met an old age person at Jewel chowk named Abdul Razak resident of Berinag, Kashmir who comes to Jammu with the secretariat and sells slippers on a castor. In his family, Abdul has a wife and 4 children. He earns 250-300 after selling the pairs of slippers at a very minimal margin per day and is happy with his income. “I am happy with my earnings as it is better than sitting at home ideally and getting dependent on the children. Every morning I pray to God to give me strength so that I can go out for my work”, Abdul said.

In Jammu, Abdul lives in a rented room with a person. Praising his landlord Abdul said, “my landlord is a very down-to-earth person. He never asks for the rent if we fail to give on time”. In Kashmir, he works with his family in the fields. “The police officials always respect me and have never disturbed me”, Abdul concluded.
Abdul has set an example for many of us. We salute Abdul’s dedication to his work and everyone should learn something from him.
