Srinagar , Feb 18 : Srinagar is experiencing unseasonably warm weather, with daytime temperatures climbing well above the February average. On Tuesday, the city recorded a maximum of 18.2°C, significantly higher than typical late-winter readings, hinting at an early onset of spring in the Kashmir Valley.

The weather department has forecast dry conditions through the end of February, suggesting temperatures could rise further. Authorities have expressed concern that the prolonged dry spell and reduced winter precipitation may affect water resources and agriculture in the region.

Residents are seeing clear skies and mild afternoons, a noticeable departure from the usual cold and foggy conditions expected at this time of year.
