Jammu, Feb 9: Senior IAS officer Ashwani Kumar has joined the Jammu and Kashmir administration, official sources said.
Ashwani Kumar has earlier served in key administrative positions, including as Chief Secretary of Puducherry and as Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, giving him wide experience in governance and urban administration.
Sources told Cross Town News that transfer and posting orders are expected to be issued shortly, as three to four IAS officers who have recently joined the Union Territory are currently awaiting departmental assignments.
The sources further indicated that a few officers presently holding positions in Jammu and Kashmir are likely to be relieved in the coming days as part of the administrative reshuffle.
