JAMMU, January 31, 2026:
In connection with the celebration of Magh Mass Purnima, popularly known as “Kaw Punim” among the Kashmiri Pandit community, a grand and impressive religious function was organised today at Radha Krishan Mandir, Nagrota Jagti (Lane No. 20) by the Mandir Committee. A large number of devotees participated in the celebrations with great devotion and enthusiasm.
Throughout the holy month of Magh, various religious programmes were organised at the temple by the Mandir Committee. On the auspicious occasion of Purnima, a colourful and spiritually uplifting function was held, which included a Hawan for world peace and prosperity. The Hawan commenced yesterday evening, and the Puranahuti was performed this afternoon.
In keeping with age-old traditions, prashad was offered to crows early in the morning, symbolising respect for ancestors and the continuation of cultural rituals. Despite the exodus, the Kashmiri Pandit community continues to remain deeply rooted in its religion, preserving its traditions and spiritual heritage.
