Kashmir , Jan 14 : In an exclusive interaction, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labru spoke on key issues related to students, winter preparedness, and arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.
Class 10 and 12 Examination Results:
The Deputy Commissioner assured students and parents that the district administration is in close coordination with education authorities to ensure a smooth, fair, and transparent process for the declaration of Class 10 and 12 results. He said student welfare remains a priority and stressed the importance of timely communication and facilitation at the district level.
Winter Preparedness Ahead of Snowfall:
With snowfall expected in the coming days, DC Srinagar said the administration is fully prepared to handle winter-related challenges. He said snow clearance machinery and manpower have been kept on standby, control rooms have been activated, and departments dealing with essential services, healthcare, power, and water supply have been put on alert. Special attention is being given to vulnerable areas to ensure uninterrupted essential services. He added that all departments are working in coordination to minimize public inconvenience during harsh winter conditions.
Republic Day Arrangements:
On Republic Day preparations, the Deputy Commissioner said all necessary arrangements are in place. Security, traffic management, health services, and civic facilities have been streamlined, while cultural programmes and official ceremonies are being finalized. He said the administration is committed to ensuring a safe, dignified, and enthusiastic celebration of the national festival.
DC Srinagar expressed confidence that Republic Day 2026 will be observed smoothly and with full spirit, reflecting unity and patriotism across the district.
