Poonch , Jan 12 : The Jammu–Poonch National Highway was closed at the Kalai stretch after a landslide disrupted traffic movement. Soon after receiving information about the blockage, teams from Narma police and the Border Roads Organisation reached the spot and began clearance operations.
The highway closure led to long queues of vehicles on both sides, leaving many commuters stranded. Officials said that efforts are being made to reopen the road at the earliest, but continuous landslides are hampering restoration work.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid unnecessary travel on the route and urged people to cooperate until the situation improves.
