Jammu, Jan 8: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will preside over the main function of the Republic Day celebrations, 2026, at Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu, where he will also take the salute.
All officers and officials of government departments and public sector undertakings posted in Jammu have been directed to attend the function as part of their official duty. The government has also instructed heads of departments and chief executives of public sector undertakings to ensure their presence along with employees working under them.
The Beating Retreat ceremony, marking the conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations, will be held on January 29, 2026, at 4:30 pm at Maulana Azad Stadium. Government officers and officials stationed in Jammu have been asked to attend the ceremony, and departmental heads have been directed to ensure participation of their subordinate staff.
