Kulgam police have solved a theft case by arresting an accused woman involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen cash from her possession.
On 31/12/2025, Police Station Kulgam received a complaint from a woman that a cash of Rs 20200 was stolen from her pocket while she was attending a patient at district hospital kulgam.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 143/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police station Kulgam and investigation was started under the supervision of SHO Police Station Kulgam.
Acting swiftly, the investigating team conducted a detailed investigation. During the course of investigation, and by using all available means one suspect woman identified as Roomi Jan Wife of Sartaj Ahmad Sheikh resident of Sheikh mohalla Damhal Hanjipora was zeroed in and during questioning, the accused admitted her involvement in the commission of crime. Officers recovered the stolen cash of Rs 20200/= from her possession and further investigation is going on.
