New Delhi , Jan 1 : From January 1, 2026, the cost of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has risen by ₹111 in major Indian cities. Domestic LPG prices remain unchanged, providing relief to households.

The revision, implemented by Indian Oil Corporation, is expected to raise operating costs for hotels, restaurants, catering units, and dhabas, with industry experts cautioning that higher expenses may eventually be passed on to consumers through increased food prices.

New commercial LPG rates in metros:

Delhi: ₹1,691.50 (up from ₹1,580.50)

Mumbai: ₹1,642.50 (up from ₹1,531.50)

Kolkata: ₹1,795.00 (up from ₹1,684.00)

Chennai: ₹1,849.50 (up from ₹1,739.50)

The latest hike reverses minor reductions seen at the end of 2025, when commercial LPG prices were lowered by ₹10 in December and ₹5 in November in select cities. The increase is the highest in these metros since mid-2025.
