Shopian Dec 11 : A fire broke out late Wednesday night in Tulran, Shopian, destroying an estimated 400 to 500 apple crates owned by Bashir Ahmad Parry, son of Abdul Rehman Parry.
The blaze erupted inside a storage shed and caused significant losses before locals managed to bring it under control. Residents said the fire spread quickly, leaving little time to salvage the stored apples.
Police and fire services reached the site and have begun investigations to determine the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported, but the damage to the apple stock is considerable.
