Srinagar, Dec 5 : Fulfilling a long-pending public demand, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will today inaugurate the foundation stone of two ceremonial gates at the revered Dargah Hazratbal shrine, coinciding with the 120th birth anniversary of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
The gates — “Bab-ul-Salam” and “Bab-ul-Noor” will be established on the main road leading to the shrine. The inauguration is scheduled to take place at 11:00 AM.
NC Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq said that the project aims to enhance the entry points to one of Kashmir’s most significant religious sites and honour Sheikh Abdullah’s legacy on his birth anniversary.
