Doda, Nov 26: The District Administration Doda today celebrated Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) with great pride and enthusiasm. Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh, along with officers, staff, teachers, and a large number of school children, participated in the grand event organised to honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
The celebration began with the flag-off of the ‘Run for Unity’ from Government Boys Higher Secondary School Doda, which concluded at Sports Stadium Doda. Students, government employees, and members of the general public actively took part in the unity run, showcasing the spirit of togetherness and national integration.
During the event, all participants took the solemn pledge to uphold the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution of India. The importance of Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity—the core pillars of the nation—was strongly highlighted.
A symbolic walk and various awareness activities were also organised, spreading the message of democracy, unity, and national pride across the district. The DC appreciated the enthusiastic participation and urged citizens to remain committed to safeguarding constitutional rights and duties for a progressive and united nation.
