Jammu:
Medical Superintendent of SMGS Hospital, Shalimar, Dr. Dara Singh, carried out a surprise inspection of doctors’ and staff lockers as part of an internal review to strengthen discipline and ensure adherence to hospital norms.

During the inspection, Dr. Singh checked the condition of lockers, availability of essential items, and compliance with rules regulating storage and maintenance of hospital property. The exercise was aimed at improving accountability, cleanliness, and overall workplace hygiene within the institution.

Hospital officials said such inspections help identify operational gaps and ensure that staff members follow proper procedures while using hospital facilities. Dr. Singh advised all departments to maintain transparency and strict professionalism in day-to-day functioning.

The Medical Superintendent also reiterated that maintaining discipline within the hospital premises directly contributes to patient care, safety, and efficient service delivery.
