In a major operation, a team of Police Station GRP Kathua executed a House Search Warrant issued by the Hon’ble District Magistrate, Kathua, leading to the recovery of narcotics and sharp-edged weapons.
The search team, led by Inspector Ajay Engotra, SHO GRP Kathua, conducted the operation under the close supervision of Shri Harmohinder Singh, SDPO Railways Vijaypur, at the residence of Mohd. Yasir S/o Mohd. Yusuf R/o Maggar Khad, Jagatpur, District Kathua.
The operation was carried out in the presence of SDPO Railways Vijaypur, EMIC Kathua Shri Manish Verma, PSI Mohd. Yusuf (I/C SHO PS Lakhanpur), officials from RPF Kathua, and other concerned officers.
During the house search, the following recoveries were made:
1. Heroin (Chitta-like substance) – 4 grams
2. White powder (suspected narcotic substance) – 93 grams
3. Iron Khokri – 1
4. Iron Tokka – 1
The search was conducted in connection with FIR No. 09/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of PS GRP Kathua. All legal formalities were completed in the presence of independent witnesses, with the entire operation being videographed and photographed on the spot.
Further investigation is underway, and more recoveries are expected.
