Poonch, October 8:
Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, today chaired an important meeting at Dak Bungalow Poonch to review ongoing and proposed development initiatives in the border areas of the district.

The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Indian Army, BSF, CRPF, Police, and Revenue Department. Among those present were SSP Poonch Shafqat Hussain, ADC Tayyar Mustafa, ACR Mohammad Syed, and other senior officials from various departments.

The primary objective of the meeting was to assess the progress of developmental works in border regions and to formulate an effective strategy aimed at improving the living standards of residents in these areas.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of better coordination among all departments and directed them to work in close collaboration to accelerate the pace of development in border villages. He stressed that joint efforts are crucial to ensure tangible improvements in infrastructure and overall quality of life for the people living along the border.
