Pattan, Oct 7: The Government Degree College (GDC) Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district is currently functioning without a full-time Principal, raising concerns among students and staff over administrative and academic delays.
Official sources confirmed that the additional charge of Principal GDC Pattan has been assigned to the Principal of Government Degree College Sopore until further orders.
The absence of a regular Principal has reportedly affected key decisions related to academics, infrastructure, and student activities. Faculty members and students have urged the Higher Education Department to appoint a dedicated Principal at the earliest to ensure smooth functioning of the institution.
Meanwhile, administrative work is being managed from GDC Sopore on an interim basis.
