Srinagar, September 26 : Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha chaired a high-level meeting of the Unified Headquarters (UHQ) at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar today.
The meeting was attended by Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, J&K Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, along with senior officers from paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies.
According to official sources, the Unified Headquarters reviewed the prevailing security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir, with detailed discussions on recent escalations along the Line of Control (LoC), winter preparedness, and counter-terror operations.
Security officials briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the ground situation in both border areas and the Valley. The meeting also emphasized the need for precise, intelligence-led operations to dismantle terrorist networks and maintain peace and stability in the region.
It may be recalled that the last UHQ meeting chaired by LG Sinha was held in May this year, shortly after the success of Operation Sindoor.
